Afternoon Tea Week: The Stories Behind Our Bespoke Tea Collections
6th August 2026Share
Afternoon Tea Week (10-16th August) is one of our favourite moments of the year. While it's a celebration of one of Britain's most treasured traditions, it's also an opportunity to shine a light on something we are incredibly passionate about - creating bespoke teas that tell a story.
For over 15 years, we've had the privilege of working with some of the world's leading hotels, spas and wellness brands to create teas that are unique to them. No two projects are ever the same, and that's exactly why we love it.
When we begin designing a tea, we don't simply ask what flavours people enjoy. We want to understand the property's history, its guests, its values and the experience it hopes to create. The tea becomes another touchpoint in the guest journey, something that quietly reinforces the brand through aroma, flavour and the emotions it evokes.
Tea has a remarkable ability to create memories. Long after a stay has ended, guests often remember the tea they enjoyed during afternoon tea, after a spa treatment or while relaxing in their room. That sensory connection is what makes bespoke tea so special.
To celebrate Afternoon Tea Week, we've added a new section to our website showcasing a selection of the bespoke collections we've created over the years. These are just a handful of the teas we've developed, with many more available across each property.
The Landmark London

Few settings are as iconic for Afternoon Tea as The Landmark London's magnificent Winter Garden. Beneath its soaring glass atrium, guests experience one of London's most celebrated afternoon teas, making it the perfect place to create teas that feel timeless and elegant.
Their Winter Garden Blend brings together three renowned tea-growing regions. Rich Assam provides a deep malty body, smooth Yunnan contributes honeyed and earthy notes, while bright Ceylon adds a crisp finish that keeps the cup beautifully balanced. The result is a classic black tea with layers of dark honey, toasted grain and gentle dried fruit notes that feels perfectly suited to the grandeur of the Winter Garden itself.
Alongside this, we've worked with The Landmark to create their Signature Blend, designed to become part of the hotel's own identity and guest experience.

One of our favourite collaborations has been the Pollinator Blend, created for Royal Lancaster London's Blooming British Afternoon Tea in partnership with the Natural History Museum.
This wasn't simply about creating a floral tea. It was about celebrating Britain's native flowers and the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystem.
The blend combines elegant Darjeeling and Chinese black tea with cornflower, rose petals and organic bee pollen. Gentle floral notes meet soft honey sweetness, creating a tea that reflects both the beauty of British gardens and the hotel's commitment to sustainability.

It's a wonderful example of how a tea can become part of a much bigger story.
Weleda

When Weleda approached us, it was important that the tea reflected the same philosophy that has guided their natural skincare since 1921.
Their Radiance Tea combines delicate white tea with rose, nettle and antioxidant-rich berries to create a light, uplifting infusion inspired by botanical wellbeing. Fresh floral notes are balanced with gentle berry sweetness and subtle herbal freshness, making it a beautiful tea that feels every bit as natural as the products that inspired it.
The blend demonstrates how wellness can extend beyond skincare, inviting guests to nourish themselves from within through carefully chosen botanicals.
Monart Destination Spa

Set amongst 100 acres of peaceful Irish woodland, Monart Destination Spa has built its reputation around rest, renewal and exceptional wellness experiences.
Together we created an entire collection of teas to accompany different moments of the guest journey, including Relax, Revive, Detox and a comforting Decaf Berry Black Tea.
The Decaf Berry blend is full of vibrant berry flavours with floral notes, hibiscus brightness and naturally sweet rooibos. Rich in antioxidants, it's designed to offer comfort without caffeine, making it the perfect tea to enjoy at any time of day.
Each tea within the Monart collection has its own purpose, supporting different aspects of relaxation and wellbeing while remaining enjoyable simply because they taste delicious.
SenSpa at Carey's Manor

SenSpa has long been recognised as one of the UK's leading Thai-inspired wellness destinations, making it important that their signature tea reflected both Eastern influences and a sense of calm.
Their bespoke Wellness Tea combines delicate white tea with orange peel, mullein flowers and fragrant spices including cardamom, cloves and star anise. The result is refreshing yet gently warming, with elegant citrus notes and a beautifully aromatic finish.
It's a tea that immediately transports guests into the sensory world of the spa before a treatment has even begun.
Why We Love Creating Bespoke Tea

Every bespoke project starts with a conversation.
Sometimes we're inspired by a hotel's history. Sometimes it's the architecture, a spa philosophy or a sustainability initiative. Other times it's simply a feeling that the client wants guests to take away from their visit.
Our role is to translate those ideas into flavour.
That's what makes bespoke tea so rewarding. It gives brands another way to express who they are through something people can see, smell and taste. A well designed tea becomes far more than a beverage, it becomes part of the guest experience and part of the memories guests take home.
After more than 15 years of creating bespoke collections, we still get excited every time a new project begins. Every property has its own personality, every story is different and every blend is an opportunity to create something completely unique.
This Afternoon Tea Week, we're delighted to share just a small selection of these collaborations on our new Bespoke Tea Collections page. We hope you enjoy discovering the stories behind the teas as much as we've enjoyed creating them.
